Marketing Fulfillment Coordinator

The role of Marketing Fulfillment Coordinator will act as a liaison between Rowland Publishing and its native advertising partners, event partnerships, and advertising clients. The Marketing Fulfillment Coordinator role oversees Rowland Publishing’s fulfillment of all print, digital and social media advertising, both purchased by clients and scheduled by internal departments. This position also contributes to department efforts as needed. Writing capability/experience are a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately input ad contracts into workflow systems and follow set deadlines
  • Schedule/track all components of print, digital and social advertising deliverables.
  • Obtain materials and instruction necessary to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Communicate accurate layout instructions to the Advertising Design team and/or Web team.
  • Communicate with advertising clients on behalf of Rowland Publishing as needed.
  • Organize and determine the usability of supplied materials on Rowland Publishing’s server.
  • Continually monitor all ads to ensure accuracy (content, placement, size, etc.).
  • Organize and schedule interviews and other forms of content creation, such as writing, photography, videography, and more.

Expectations 

This position interacts with clients and staff, requiring a positive and collaborative attitude. There must be an organized approach to work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to self-check. Must be able to track multiple tasks and priorities and meet tight deadlines. Report up to manager any obstacles that might keep work from being fulfilled on deadline.

Staff Writer

Staff writers are expected to generate a high volume of engaging, high-quality content for Rowland Publishing’s proprietary and custom publications as well as Rowland Publishing’s branded magazine websites; adhere to ethical standards applicable to a print journalist; and conduct himself/herself in the best interests of RPI. Staff writers may be called upon to assist in the editing of stories prepared by freelance writers, RPI staff members and RPI clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report and write stories.
  • Adhere to story synopses, word counts and deadlines.
  • Generate story ideas.
  • Edit, as directed, stories written by freelance contributors and others.
  • Stay current as to developments in communities served by RPI publications.
  • Become familiar with RPI’s story tracking systems.

Expectations

Staff writers are expected to manage their time well, cooperate with members of other departments and seek always to grow professionally. The position requires types of writing including business and industry reporting, short stories for departments in magazine lineups and long-form feature stories. Close attention to deadlines and an unfailing commitment to accuracy are essential.

Senior Content Editor

The Senior Content Editor is responsible for writing and editing needs for sales, social media, and other misc. content needs. In addition, the Senior Content Editor is responsible for ensuring the editorial functions for all custom publishing projects are adhering to established schedules and meeting or exceeding the quality standards of Rowland Publishing, Inc. at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriate writers for all freelance assignments and be responsible for maintaining a healthy, well-rounded stable of reliable freelance writers.
  • Assign and collect art and writing assignments to freelancers within budget and work with them to ensure filed art/copy meets goals and comes in on deadline
  • Work with RPI’s clients directly to monitor progress — ensuring they meet deadlines
  • Copyedit stories as needed to AP Style and word count
  • Create and manage all custom publishing editorial outlines per issue
  • Write 2-3+ lifestyle stories per month as needed and assigned

The Senior Content Editor is expected to manage his/her time well, cooperate with members of other departments and seek always to grow professionally. Close attention to deadlines and an unfailing commitment to accuracy are essential.

Education or Experience

Degree or certificate in an editorial program and a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a related industry.
